Novice Course

£50 for 6 weeks (max. of 4 dogs)

 

In this course you will improve on the skills you have already acquired and moves you outside for those who have only done indoor training.

 

The novice course will cover:

• attention on owner with distractions
• Stay (sit and down) with owner turned away
• good focus heelwork 
• Recall  introducing distractions
• Running Stop 
• Relaxation and settle

This course works on your dogs behaviour around other dogs, it is a course to continue your skills you have learnt in the beginners course, to work on improving social skills, or in some cases teaching dogs not to have a negative association with other dogs. This course is excellent for adolescents or very bouncy dogs and most of the class is done on the move to simulate real life.

 

You are given information on how to handle difficult situations (e.g meeting a horse, unfriendly dog, cyclists) and to practice these skills in an environment as realistic as possible.
